40 Years of Wilderness
This year marks 40 years of Wilderness; a pivotal year following their major rebrand and shift from “Wilderness Safaris”.
Just like a ranger and a tracker or a leopard and her spots, Wilderness and Felix Studios go hand in hand. We are so proud and honoured to have played a small role in their colossal transformation over the last year.
It is no small feat rebranding a 3000+ person company, with 60+ camps in 8 African countries, however, Wilderness made it happen. Not only was it a privilege, but likewise a pleasure for us to help them roll out their exquisite new brand across numerous touchpoints.

Teaser Countdowns
Who doesn’t love a little bit of suspense, right? To keep the world on the edge of its seat, the Felix Animation gurus whipped together a teaser to grab the eyes and ears of the safari industry and its voyagers, to showcase the magic that was about to be unleashed. Alongside the careful guidance of Wilderness, we worked to design a day-by-day countdown on their socials, that kept the attention of the world waiting.
Manifesto Video
With an exciting new brand comes a brand new vision, and of course, a new way of doing things. As a result of the growth, the Wilderness team created the ‘Wilderness Manifesto’ – an ode to all things authentically wild, luxuriously rugged and wonderfully free. The Felix team was tasked with bringing this prose to life, through a video story that was widely shared to showcase the Wilderness changes (and knock the socks off its viewers). Our team couldn’t wait to jump on a plane and begin creating some magic.
Coffee Table Book
Nothing goes better with the story of your safari than a coffee book to remember it by! When Wilderness asked us to give their internal design team a hand in bringing their wildlife stories to life, we jumped at the opportunity. We worked together to craft a spellbinding narrative that details each camp and the experiences on offer.
With the launch of the new brand, top suppliers around the world received the book as a way to commemorate the exciting world of Wilderness, and a reminder for what this exceptional company has done, and continues to do.
Slide Decks
Not all rebranding tasks are sexy ones, but we made it our mission to make the Wilderness slide decks and newsletters the best ones there are!
